Chamber Member Benefits

Member Health Care and Insurance Benefits Programs

Health care and insurance benefit costs are a growing challenge for businesses of every size. We partner with Marcee Kerns & Integrated Benefit Strategies to offer a variety of health care insurance and non-insurance benefit programs for our members and their employees. Together, we're working to provide each member with coverage options that meet your unique needs. All programs are available on a member-by-member basis.

These aren't cookie-cutter, minimal benefits programs. Through our programs, you gain access to comprehensive, flexible benefits options, which our members have indicated are important. Plus, programs are available for companies of all sizes, even down to just one employee.

Bulk Mail Savings:

The chamber Bulk Postage permit is available for Chamber business and organization members to provide you with a considerable discount on the postage cost for your direct mail advertising promotions.

Business Referral Network:

The Chamber and Visitor Information Center receives many requests from the community and newcomers to the area for business referrals. We refer member businesses first so this service alone may pay for an entire year's membership! You may also include your company's advertising brochures in new member packets provided to new chamber members and new resident packages for those who have recently moved to our community.

Mailing List:

Membership includes a single use set  of mailing labels of the Monroe Business Community. Additional updated copies may be requested for a small fee.

Rental Car Corporate Rate:

Enterprise Rent-A-Car offers corporate rates & benefits to all Monroe Chamber of Commerce Members.

Legislative Advocacy:

The chamber is committed to working with all levels of government on behalf of all business owners to ensure a healthy business climate that encourages free enterprise and new business development.

Meeting Room:

Members can use the conference room (capacity 12) - (subject to availability) Make reservations by calling the office. If you would like refreshments, call the Chamber Office for more information and referrals for this service.

Tax Deductible Expense:

The Internal Revenue Service has ruled that chamber membership is deductible as a necessary business expense.

New Resident Advertising:

You may participate in this valuable advertising opportunity by furnishing the chamber coupons, flyers, and samples to include in the packets. It is recommended that you do not use an expiration date on your materials as we make these up ahead of time and your information may not be current at the time a new resident settles in and goes through the  package. Please provide at least 100 pieces for the packets.

Member to Member Networking Opportunities

General Membership Luncheon:

Luncheon network meetings with a guest speaker are held the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 11:30am until 1pm. This popular event offers you the perfect opportunity to reach fellow Chamber members. We recommend pre-registering your attendance by the Friday before. Call 360-794-5488 to register & if you like, pre-pay for your lunch by Visa or Master Card. Our luncheons are always catered by Chamber members. The fee is $12 with pre-registration & $15 for walk-in attendance. Members are welcome to bring business owner guests but they must be pre-registered.

Before Hours Events

Morning breakfast networking is held at different sponsor locations on the 3rd Friday of every month from 7:30am-8:30am with no charge to attend. If you would like to sponsor & showcase your business at a Before Hours breakfast, please contact Neil Watkins for more information at 360-794-5488. Pre-registation of your attendance is appreciated at least one day in advance.

After Hours Events

Evening networking is held from 5pm–7pm, on the 3rd Thursday of each month at different locations. There is no charge but we appreciate a $10 donation towards the Monroe Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Fund. Chamber members sponsor this event & provide light snacks. If you are interested in hosting this event, please contact Neil Watkins at 360-794-5488.

This is also a great opportunity to bring fellow business owners who are considering joining the Monroe Chamber of Commerce Chamber. Pre-registration is appreciated by calling 360-794-5488.

World Wide Web:

All members are automatically added to the Chamber's online business directory.  Visitors and residents can lookup your company's information and find you in seconds.  As part of your listing you can include your company's e-mail and/or websit URL.    News that is time sensitive to our business community that occurs between meetings and newsletters will be e-mailed to members who provide their email address to the chamber. Additional members of your organization may be added to the email list at no additional cost. Just provide us with a list of the names and email addresses.
